How would you describe your style?

I get really bored of wearing the same outfit and I can’t wear the same outfit more than twice in the same month; it just really bothers me. So I guess I like to switch it up a lot, I have 4 major inspirations. So I would say the first one is New York style.

What about streetwear?

I don’t really mess with streetwear heavily, but I would say that sort of style, more so high fashion than streetwear. Not that I wear high fashion, I buy things that mimic high fashion. My 4 inspirations would be New York and 90s, streetwear, high fashion and kind of preppy I guess. But not like UCLA preppy, more so Harvard preppy, like classy put together.

did
you
start thrifting?

I started in high school junior year, a friend invited me to go thrifting with him. He had been thrifting a lot longer than me, he was my best friend in high school and we hung out all the time, but for some reason we never went thrifting until my junior year. I went through the stage of ‘this is sick and everything is so cheap’ and buying everything and then eventually kind of freshman year of college was really when I started figuring out this is what I like and refining the way I shop.

Do you have a favorite piece you’ve thrifted?

I just bought a leather jacket a few weeks ago that I really like. I’ve been wanting to buy a leather jacket for a really long time but there are so many out there, I’m very picky about the specific kind of silhouette. It looks more like a bomber jacket, so it doesn’t have a collar. It feel more like a letterman jacket than anything. That’s definitely one of my favorites right now. I have a favorite pair of pants, its a vintage Old Navy cargo pants that I literally wear all the time. I don’t wear them with the same thing but I wear them all the time with different combination. I have a hoodie I wear a lot, it says bulldogs in the front. It’s literally a high school hoodie, I know cos my young adult’s pastor saw it and said ‘Bruh that’s a high school in the area’. But it’s so sick, it’s gray and it’s a medium. It’s not cropped but it rests right on the belt line which I really like.
