Latina journalists overcame racial stereotypes and pay inequity to become leaders in their career paths. This is the story of several Latinas in southern California who have become successful journalists. These Latinas work for major news outlets, nonprofits and do freelance work. This chapter features the success stories of these journalists and how your work ethic is allowing them to break barriers.
Alejandra Molina
Alejandra Molina is a national reporter at the Religion News Service, a nonreligious newsroom that covers many different religions and cultures across the nation. Molina faced many challenges regarding her culture and gender, but has overcome those to work in a role that allows her to cover Latinos in religion.
