However, I learned more than I would have through my own experience. As the daughter of an immigrant Latina, I have seen the gaps that are placed between my own mother in regard to educational settings and careers. Through this, I was able to learn more about the gap between mothers and daughters in different generations, as well as opportunity gaps between individuals within the same generation but in different cultures.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My progression throughout this project was based more on the research I read rather than the interviews. This made me realize that speaking about mother-daughter relationships and familial structures is a struggle for older Latina generations. I learned that despite not being talked about, the structures of Latinas are still rooted in the culture and continue to be everchanging.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Overall, I believe that this journey has heightened my own experience.
